Sustainability

In 2019, Rebecca Millsop and I co-founded Philosophers for Sustainability, an international group of philosophers working to encourage our profession
to take leadership on climate change and environmental sustainability. We
now have about 125 members in 15 countries working together on projects
like sustainability guidelines, on-campus advocacy efforts, resource gathering,
public philosophy, teaching sustainability, climate strike support, e-conferencing,
and raising awareness on social media. You can find our website here, with
more information about our mission and projects, and our Twitter here. If you
are interested in helping to combat climate change and care for the environment through research, teaching, or academic service in philosophy, we would love to hear from you! You can reach us at philosophersforsustainability@gmail.com, or email me directly at chislenko@temple.edu.
